Fidelity & Nasdaq Ventures are investing in a cryptocurrency exchange called ErisX, according to a report from Reuters. The overall Series B funding round helped ErisX to raise $27.5 million.
Starting next year, ErisX will offer investors the opportunity to trade several kinds of cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin, Litecoin and Ether, spot and futures.
The participation was confirmed by Nasdaq, but no detailed investment amount was stated. A complete list of companies that took part in the Series B can be funding round can be found here.
“With increasing financial support from leading edge firms, ErisX stands to provide the most robust, secure and regulated digital asset offering available to both institutional and individual participants,” said Chippas, CEO of ErisX in todays press release.
